The Wayward Path

blow to the ego, blow to the mind
illusions and delusion all lost in time
simple facts withered in lust
tap tap tap … gone with the trust
foolish and childlike the game is played
life long battles on an ongoing rain delay
obvious illusions logic precludes
ongoing delusion safe in fortitude
perhaps wayward is the path
maybe, just a bubble bath
